Welcome to the web presence of the Gahanna, Ohio American Legion Post #797. One of the fastest growing Legion Posts in Ohio, and one of the few to work hand in hand with their counterpart organization, the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The twoPosts are co-located on a piece of land owned by VFW Post #4719, in a location which could soon be designated as a Veterans Memorial Park by the City. The Post is located directly across from the new Creekside City Center in Gahanna, a development that is quickly becoming well known for its annual Creekside Jazz and Blues Festival.

Military Blood Drive

While the American Legion does not have a schedule any longer for donations to the Military blood drive, it is still an option for anyone visiting a military base to go in and donate blood to the military.

DO YOU RIDE A MOTORCYCLE??

Previously, some post members thought about starting up a Riders Club, but that initiative has fallen through.  So, if anyone is still interested, you can contact the Post Commander, John George, who will direct you to a nearby post that does have a club with which you can participate.  Most, or all of the Legion Riders Clubs will accept riders from another post, so check it out.
